In order to reroute tracks, I would likely have to shorten it. The biggest obstacle is the looping ramp, just north of the existing station, which is the offramp for the eastbound to Chester Point. There's even enough space between the two freeway directions that I could feasibly place the terminal there, where there's currently a road with some pedestrian connections and an extension into the ramps running under the freeway overpass. This would allow me to replace it with a terminal style station closer to the freeway. Unfortunately, it's on a lot more of a slope than I had noticed so it's going to have to go as well.Ĭurrently, I'm thinking that I'll switch up the ramps near the first station to open up room for a rail wye. I put one of those same multiplatform stations there, offset from the intercity tracks but otherwise parallel and directly west of the one in the picture. I just wrapped up a couple of hours of development along the opposite river, so there are now some nice roads to the upper right of the neighborhood visible above. This is also to be replaced, because it's a terrible design. I replaced it with a smaller version, so a bypass siding is now placed where those second pair of tracks were. That interim train station in the top left is multiplatform, so it's got a pair of tracks hooked up to the main line and a pair free for intracity lines further up the peninsula.
